Welcome to the ninth installment of Monday’s Bag of Tricks! On some Mondays you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veteran’s learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.
Inspecting other players on the live server is currently bugged in a way that you can only do so while being in the same party or standing next to the target, but another possibility is to look up a character on the gateway by surfing to
http://gateway.playneverwinter.com/#char(CHAR@HANDLE)
If you want to block even these snoopy views, there’s the ingame console command
/gateway_sethidden 1
serving this purpose. Setting it to zero revokes the change. We thought it would be common knowledge, because it’s actually documented on the wiki-list, but reaction on our message board suggested otherwise. Blocked characters will look like this and you have to do it for each and every char, it’s not an account setting:
